I want to find a book that clarifies bicycle repair on a much more technicle level then most repair books. I have two or three bicycle repair books that clarify bicycle repair. But, I want to find a book that contains more technicle aspects such as
1. What is the function of a small cage versus a long cage rear derailleur? What are the technical aspects of the different parts of a bicycle?
2. How are bicycle frames constructed and what are the different types of frames? What frames would one use for different performance parameters and conditions?
3. How can one “tune” or “configure” or “combine” bicycle parts for different uses and conditions such as “road bikes,” “mountain bikes,” tri-athelon bikes or “trick bikes?”
4 What are some inside tricks or tips which one can use to improve bicycle performance?
I’d just like find a book which will help me with some of the more advanced technicle aspects of bicycle building and repair rather then just the mundane basic aspects of bicycle repair.
