mountain bike sales I need a cheap bike recommendations?
I’m a college student and need to get a bike to ride around campus, it seems like most people here have mountain bikes. Unfortunately, my budget’s only in this area $150 bucks, or even less. There are a few bikes at walmart that I could get, but I’ve been reading terrifying things in this area walmart bikes on the internet. Do you reckon a low-cost bike from walmart would be OK for riding around campus? Or do you have a recommendation on where to buy a low-cost one?

mountain bike sales What do I need to know to get into mountain biking?
I am trying to get a mountain bike for this summers use. I am looking to ride on somewhat rough trails, and I am new to buying step of getting into mountain biking. I am told that buying is something you have to take some time with and look carefully. I am not trying to find a bike for $1000 plus, I would rather have someone let me in on some mountain bike secrets and help me find a decently priced bike. Any bike warehouses with low-cost deals? Anything would help.

For those of you who are bikers out there. Is it ok if I buy a Giro Atmos helmet for mountain biking or should I get a helmet with a visor such as the Giro Athlon helmet. I’m more concerned in this area protection rather then looks. Which helmet do you guys believe would be safer to take on the trails. Also, whats the top of having a visor anyway? Please answer ASAP

I want to buy parts on eBay and do it myself. I have an ancient Kokomo Cignal mountain bike 21 speed with a really small high gear. I wonder if I can get road bike gears or larger mountain bike gears. Could I get everything on eBay for $50?

mountain bike tips I need a hobby desperately. Any ideas?
I am a college student who is done with lessons every day by 11am, which leaves the rest of the day for me to do nothing because I rarely have homework.

The conundrum is, being a college student, that basically means I am broke as well, so I would need something pretty inexpensive.

Not sure if I want something that I can do all the time, or one main thing that I can make improvements on and such.

For example, my boyfriend has his fish tank and mountain bike, so he can make upgrades to those all of the time and improve them and go to sphere shops and things of that nature, and I have nothing.

I delight in painting, but canvas and paints get expensive. Not a huge fan of knitting or scrap booking.

I live in a small college town with one main road so that kind of makes things harder too.

If anyone can help or has any suggestions that would be fantastic. Thank you so much.

I plot to get a really nice $200 mountain bike in the next couple of days, but I have really no thought what kind of helmet I’d need for Mountain biking. A few of my friends say that a fixed bicycle helmet will work, but I am concerned that if I somehow fall of the bike, and hit my head on a tree, that a fixed bike helmet would break.

I was thinking of getting one of those full face helmets, similar to those helmets that Dirt Bike riders wear. Is that okay, or is it completely unnecessary?

Im going on an adventure-style camp where we will be doing things such as hiking, mountain bike riding, absailing canoeing ect? What sorts of things do i need to pack. Were going for 5 days (four nights). We only need to take clothes and toiletries.
