I’m looking for a excellent bike for myself to do some mountain biking in Vermont. I’m honestly aggressive, but won’t be doing any 8 ft drops or anything like that…but I surely won’t be just meandering through dirt paths. I’m honestly new as I’ve only been using friends ancient beat up bikes. Any suggestions for a excellent bike for a woman with moderate aggressiveness yet honestly new to mountain biking?

mountain bike gear Whats the easiest way to convert a mountain bike into a fixed gear?
Hi, I’m moving to the snow and want to build a mountin fixie. Since there aren’t many of these out there, I will have to build this one myself. I was wondering if I could fix the rear wheel without having to rebuild it. Or maybe there is a retailer on the web that sells fixed back wheels. Also are there specific hubs I need special for a mountain bike? Anything other advice, comments, rants, raves….?

mountain bike sales whats a good bike to buy for cycling on sidewalks?
so i’ve been going for 8-20 mile bike rides daily and my bike is just a really low-cost mountain bike. i was told im using the incorrect kind of bike. but i was also told that a road bike wouldn’t be excellent if im cycling on the sidewalk… what kind of bike should i be using?
i ride on the sidewalk because i live in a busy area and i ride on the sidewalks of main roads. way to be a smart ass and not help me at all.

mountain bike sales Whats so bad about $100 mountain bikes?
I see a lotta people slamming low-cost department store bikes. I in person have a hardtail KENT bike that I’ve place in this area 2000 miles on, with many of those miles being gained through moderately rough riding. I bought it at Huge 5 for 100 bucks. It hasn’t agreed me any problems besides having to adjust the brakes occasionally.

So why all the despise on these bikes?
